George "Pine" Wesley Williams, 81 of Harlan, KY passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at his home. George was born October 23, 1942 to the late George Mckinley and Mabel Wilder Williams. He believed in the Baptist faith, and attended Teetersville Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. George was also a former coal miner, truck driver, and most recently a patient transportation driver for CAA. He was the deputy fire chief for Sunshine Fire Department, and a member of the Harlan and Loyall Fire Departments. At anytime you could find George at his favorite breakfast place Hardee's spending time with his friends. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carol Williams who preceded him on February 16, 2023; his brother; David Williams, his sister; Alice Dickensheets. and his grandson; William Brigmon. George is survived by his children; Gina (Terry) Lutz, Bobby (Cathy) Shook, Robert (Renee') Williams, Terri (Mark) Williams-Jarvis, and Toni (Hiram) Farmer Brock, his sisters; Betty (Will) Cassim, Mary (Hurston) Blanton, and Michelle (Edward) Gritsko, his grandchildren; David Williams, Katie O'Neal, Cristi Howard, Michael Arvidson, Bradley Shook, and Brieona Williams, and 7 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives to mourn his passing. Visitation will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Saturday (Oct. 28) at Teetersville Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday (Oct. 28) at Teetersville Baptist Church with Rev. Paul White officiating. Burial will follow Saturday (Oct. 28) at Resthaven Cemetery in Keith, KY with members of the Sunshine Fire Department will serve as Pallbearers and firefighters throughout Harlan County serving as Honorary Pallbearers. Military rites will be observed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
