Hello and welcome to the FourEyedMonster Miniatures Channel, where you’ll get to see either custom painted scale model kits or straight-out-of-the-box prepainted figures. In this bishoujo figure unboxing and review, I’m looking at the latter as I continue on with the budget-friendly Taito Coreful line. Specifically, I’ll be taking a look at a figure of main protagonist Zero Two (ゼロツー) from an anime series called ‘Darling in the Franxx’ (ダーリン・イン・ザ・フランキス). It’s the ‘School Uniform Version’ of the pre-painted prize figure. As a miniature painter, I get to work on figurines from scratch i.e. assembling and giving them a primer coat; all the way to painting them using either acrylic, lacquer, and/or enamel paints. In this series of unboxing videos, I hope to review in detail all the pre-painted figure additions to my collection with a critical eye both in terms of paint job as well as sculpt quality. Most, if not all of the pre-painted figures in my collection will be reviewed in their original straight-out-of-the-box condition. If any retouch work is done to the figures, it will be explicitly stated in the video title and commentary. But for the most part, these pre-painted figurines will be reviewed without any modification to their original paint job as is the case for this figurine. For the time being, these pre-painted figures are being ranked on a six-tier system (as described below) to help you decide if you would want them in your collection. Seeing how the quality of figurines are rapidly changing all the time, there is always the possibility this rating system will be expanded on. But until then, the meaning of the six-tiered rating is as follows: Special (S-Rank) : Exceptional; a must-have in your collection Diamond (A-Rank) : Superb, an excellent addition to any collection Platinum (B-Rank) : Good addition to any figure collection Gold (C-Rank) : Solid budget piece, worth getting if cost is a factor Silver (D-Rank) : Decent but non-essential addition to any figure collection Bronze (E-Rank) : Avoid at all costs, not worth it! Close to the end of this video, I’ll be rating this pre-painted bishoujo figure of Nami so that you can make an informed decision to either add her to your collection, or not. 00:00 Opening Credits 00:05 Intro of the Taito Coreful Uniform Version of Zero Two 00:36 Unboxing Zero Two (Darling in the Franxx) 01:56 Unwrapping Zero Two (Taito Coreful Uniform Version) 03:13 Once over of the Taito Coreful figure of Zero Two 05:52 Assembling the Taito Coreful Zero Two figure 07:21 Full 360 degree view (incl. height measurement) 08:56 Full 360 degree view (upper) of Zero Two 09:32 Comparing Zero Two: the figure vs the anime character 09:46 Full 360 degree view (upper) of Zero Two [contd.] 10:25 Full 360 degree view (middle) of Zero Two 11:01 Highlight on the Zero Two figure’s S-Curves 11:06 Full 360 degree view (middle) of Zero Two [contd.] 11:20 Full 360 degree view (lower-middle) of Zero Two 11:44 Full 360 degree view (lower) of Zero Two 12:18 Summary of the Taito Coreful Zero Two figure 14:16 Rating of the Taito Coreful Zero Two figure 14:57 Outro and End Credits Thank you for taking the time to watch this video.
