Mors hel socks by Inga skeie has what looks like a very similar heel to the Norwegian sock I've been studying, but it's possible there are some differences ("Manufacturer's Heel" or "Shaped Common Heel" are some common names for this type of heel in 19th century English-language stocking patterns.) Berry Waves sock pattern from DROPS has an "old fashioned heel" which includes the k2togtbl method of binding off each needle, but the heel flap is worked differently than the Norwegian sock I'll be reverse engineering If you have questions about this video, or suggestions for future videos, please let me know down in the comments or on social media. 0:00 Introduction 0:35 Technical Knitting 4:07 Vintage Sock Sources/Resources 7:21 Vintage books from my library 22:55 Old Fashioned Heel 35:12 First sock on my journey Rox Rocks Ravelry group: http://www.ravelry.com/groups/rox-rocks IG: / roxmpls Twitter: / roxmpls
