The Professionals (1980) SE4 EP4 - Involvement

The Professionals, Bodie and Doyle, top agents for Britain's CI5 (Criminal Intelligence 5), and their controller, George Cowley fight terrorism and similar high-profile crimes. Cowley, a hard ex-MI5 operative, hand-picked each of his men. Having shot a suspected drug smuggler outside her flat Doyle consoles witness Ann Holly and they become lovers, intending to marry. An informer tells Doyle and Bodie that 'the Christmas Man' is flying in a consignment of illegal drugs and, unfortunately for Doyle, it seems likely the 'Christmas Man' is Ann's father, who is put under surveillance.
