Catch the sunset with a Golden Hour Cocktail in hand 🌅 Mahalo to our Rumbassadors at Family Meal Time for putting together this delightful rum cocktail! Ingredients: 1 oz honey cinnamon simple syrup 2 oz coconut milk 1 ½ oz Kōloa Kaua‘i Dark Rum 4 ⅛” slices of fresh turmeric root 1 egg white Pinch of turmeric and cinnamon plus star fruit for garnish 🍯For Honey Cinnamon Simple Syrup 1 cup of sugar 1 cup of distilled water 2 tbsp of honey ¼ grated cinnamon stick plus whole stick Instructions: Pour sugar, water and honey into a heavy bottomed pot and put over moderate heat until all sugar has dissolved. Grate ¼-inch of the cinnamon stick into the pot before snapping it in half and dropping in. Boil simple syrup for 5 minutes before cooling. 🌅For the Golden Hour Muddle turmeric in a shaker before adding all liquids, turmeric powder and ice. Shake mixture vigorously for 20 seconds before double straining and removing the ice. Shake vigorously again, 10 seconds, and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with powdered turmeric and grated cinnamon. 🌟For Star Fruit Garnish Slice two ¼-inch pieces from the star fruit. Make an incision with a sharp knife in the center of both slices before pressing together. Place on rim of coup glass. Enjoy!
