First Pick: Late 1950's Cigar Store Indian

In the 1800's local store fronts used icons to represent business due to general illiteracy of the masses. Early store owners universally used descriptive emblems or figures to idenitifed their businesses. For example, barber poles advertised barber shops, three gold balls represented pawn shops, Indian statues represented tobacco shops. Early examples were life size and made of wood or nichol and are extremely desirable and command five and six figure prices. In the late thirties and forties the weathered and worn out statues were replaced with cement counterparts that were more susceptible to weather and wear.
