Kennington Cross trams - test running

First test running session for a little while as I have been rearranging the room that the layout is in. Two trams : Ex-Walthamstow car 2054 dating from 1932 and LCC car 1571 from 1911/2 are shown just .running up and down the layout. These two cars show how the design of standard London cars of the E1 class remained very much the same despite advances during the period , as shown by the UCC Felthams and the LCC's 'Bluebird' prototype. Both 1571 and 2054 lasted almost right to the end of London's tramways in July 1952. The layout is eight foot long and has traditional analogue control. The buildings used on the layout are from my own Kingsway Models range of card kits in either standard or modified form. www.kingswaymodels.com
