The episode opens with a world under the control of Mysterio, who has taken over Stark Industries and created the Iron Federation. He commands an army of drones first seen in *Avengers: Age of Ultron*. Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, is tasked with stopping him, but in every reality, she fails. Sharon Carter, now the Power Broker, betrays Riri after selling her a crucial part. The Iron Federation closes in, and Riri escapes in a makeshift suit, only to be attacked by White Vision. Wong, Okoye, Valkyrie, and Ying Nan rescue her aboard an Asgardian skiff. The Earth is in ruins after the Emergence, where the birth of Tiamut, a Celestial, devastated the planet. Mysterio uses drones and holograms to create illusions and control the remaining survivors. Riri is tasked with creating a device to kill White Vision, and the Alliance heroes buy her time while fighting the Iron Federation. They are wiped out, and Riri finishes her device, using it to kill White Vision. She plans to infiltrate Mysterio’s base and destroy the nanites powering his illusions. Ironheart merges with White Vision's tech, becoming a human synthezoid. She attacks Mysterio's base, but her suit malfunctions, and she crashes. Ying Nan helps, but it's revealed that everything was an illusion. Mysterio, now merging with White Vision, plans to control illusions with his mind and live forever. Riri fights back and defeats Mysterio, shutting down his Iron Federation. As Mysterio dies, he projects the Avengers logo into the sky. The Watcher prepares for Riri’s demise again but breaks his oath, encouraging her to fight. She defeats Mysterio, but his death leaves a dark shadow over the world. The episode ends with a trio of Watchers observing Uatu, who has broken his oath and interfered too much. EP6: What If... 1872? The episode shifts to the Wild West, where John Walker, aka U.S. Agent, is searching for Shang-Chi. With help from Kate Bishop, they fight The Hood, a villain linked to the upcoming Ironheart series. Shang-Chi’s sister, Xu Xialing, has turned evil, and the heroes must stop her. In the end, Kate kills Xialing, leaving Shang-Chi heartbroken. As the episode concludes, Shang-Chi and Hawkeye ride off into the sunset, while the Watcher is captured by The Eminence.
