The Aragonese language is a Romance language developed in the medieval Kingdom of Aragon and is primarily spoken in the Pyrenees valleys of northern Aragon, Spain. Distinguished from Spanish by its unique phonology and vocabulary, it shares similarities with Occitan and Catalan. Today, it is classified as endangered, with an estimated 10,000–12,000 speakers, mostly elderly or in rural areas. Despite limited official recognition (protected but not co-official under Aragon’s 2022 language law), revitalization efforts include educational programs, literature, and digital initiatives to preserve its cultural legacy. Galician is a Romance language spoken primarily in the autonomous community of Galicia in northwestern Spain, as well as in parts of Asturias and Castile and León. Closely related to Portuguese, Galician and Portuguese were once a single language, Galician-Portuguese, which evolved into separate languages after the 15th century. It has approximately 2.4 million speakers and is co-official with Spanish in Galicia. Written in the Latin alphabet, Galician has a rich literary tradition dating back to medieval times, especially in lyric poetry. The language reflects a distinct cultural identity influenced by Celtic, Roman, and Iberian heritage. This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes.
