After a promising start and the clouds clearing, we continue our journey with the last light of the day and the evening winds. We land at our first campsite in the evening, where we enjoy a restful night. The next morning begins with a challenging hike, knowing that we face windy conditions ahead. However, the first flight brings me trouble as I misjudge a thermal spot. While Flo and Idris continue flying, I desperately search for thermals and find myself deciding whether to fly directly into the wind or veer left towards the sunny slopes.
