Making live techno: Novation Launchkey Mini mk3, Launch Control XL, Ableton 11. Spoonhead

Yesterday I set up outdoors in the treehouse and tried out my new Launchkey Mini mk3. I usually write my music in the arrangement view. But I wanted to experiment with a new way of generating ideas - by creating some instruments and then using the Ableton Live session view to jam them out. I was deliberating over whether to post this here, but there might be some of you who are interested to know more about what goes on during the creative process. I've annotated what I'm doing as I go, so you can get a better idea of what's going on. The track is far from perfect and it's really long (18 minutes). But now that it's recorded into the arrangement view I'll be able to go and edit it and pull out the good bits.
