This week we explore WINTON in central Queensland were we base ourselves at a FREE CAMP on the outskirts of town on the banks of the beautiful MISTAKE CREEK. WE head out on our first leg of the Dinosaur Trail at AUSTRALIA’S AGE OF DINOSAURS where we do 3 GUIDED TOURS before driving a further 110kms west to visit the DINOSAUR STAMPEDE a NATIONAL MONUMENT and is considered so important that it was recognised as a National Monument before The Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The stampede is made up of over 3000 dinosaur footprints and is a must for any BUCKET LIST. We take a walk through Wintons Main Street and find the pub where BANJO PATERSON first performed WALTZING MATILDA. We check out 1 of only 2 open air cinema in AUSTRALIA, visit the birthplace of QANTAS and Allison puts in a ROCKSTAR performance at the musical fence, so come and join us for this weeks adventure.
