The book "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho has been one of the best sellers of all times and a true manifesto of the personal development and "law of attraction" new age movement. Loved by many celebrities like Bill Clinton, Julia Roberts and Kobe Bryant. Right before his death earlier this year Kobe Bryant had partnered with Coelho on writing a children's book as part of the basketball star's story-telling entrepreneurial project. For people who are not fans of spirituality and new age type of content the book might feel a bit strange, but it is worth reading as it describes the journey of following one's passion. Philosophically the book has a lot to offer, even though it is mixed with occultism and new age symbolism. In its core this is a story of initiation and following your destiny which resonates with everyone looking to self improve.
