Episode 2- Singapore Urban Herping 2024

A work trip to Singapore in Aug, 2024 afforded me some time to do some herping before, during and after the skateboard contest I was there to judge. This was my first trip to Singapore and while I didn't have a TON of time to explore, I was able to make the most out of it while there. My main target was to find a nice female Wagler's pit viper and I was able to see 4 of them (along with 1 male), also was lucky enough to see 7 mangrove vipers and a handful of other gems. Singapore is REALLY easy to herp and the areas parks are basically chock full of snakes and lizards to find. CORRECTIONS- ID on the gecko is Spotted House Gecko (gekko monarchus) and the Bronzeback is a Painted Bronzeback (dendrelaphis pictus) Next time I'll be more thorough on my ID's!
