Costin Chioreanu is a widely acclaimed visual arts icon with a body of work focused on translating music into static or moving images. He also is a multi instrumentalist musician and composer, with large discography, covering different kind of musical genres. As a visual artist, during the last 20 years, this Dutch based artist has developed a unique, yet versatile style mostly focused on visual iconicity. That led him to collaborate with many Extreme Metal leading bands and performers, for whom he has produced stunning graphics and innovative video animations that have become easily recognizable. Chioreanu earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at the National University of Arts, in Bucharest and he developed his own style of video animation, highly acclaimed and used by many of the headliners of the heavy metal and prog music genre. He won 2 International Awards for “The Best Music Video”, first in 2004 by Hummingbird Press (Colombia) for At The Gates – “Heroes And Tombs” and second in 2019 by Prog Magazine (United Kingdom) for Cellar Darling – “Insomnia”. Between 2013 and 2025 he created and released over 170 animation videos ranging from 3 up to 13 minutes in length. SYNOPSYS “While hunting an everchanging prey, deep into the vast forest of perception, a restless character becomes captive in a surreal time capsule loop of overthinking. When he finally unfreeze, he founds nothing but the closure of his lifetime, while he becomes an observed thought.” SPOILER " In what will follow I will do something which I never done before, I will literally translate what I wanted to transmit through this movie. So, if you don't want a spoiler, play it before reading. Otherwise, do the reverse. The main character is a hunter which is hunting a fox. While running through the forest of wanders, the fox gets one of the arms blocked in one of our hunter's traps and she is waiting the decisive arrow to kill her. In that very moment, the mind of the hunter starts to project the anticipation regarding the moments which will follow the hunting procedure. The mental projection is showing moments when the hunter is returning to his tribe, being judged for the size of the fox he just hunted, being compared with other hunters who did better, being over judged and in the end criticized for not being good enough. Suddenly, the battery of the living suit of the same hunter is waking him up from this freezing process of overthinking. Everything around him, was affected by the huge amount of time passing over: the forest was cut down, the fox became a pile of bones, the grass got dried. The flashes of disappearing time are marking the last seconds of our hunter's life. His point of view is now from the passage to infinity which is a cave. At the entrance of the cave the mask of the hunter remains so he can walk freely into the depths of his being, before becoming an observed thought. He finds inside of this cave - his depth, the inner child, his entire history experienced in other realms and in the end, infinity of depth, everything compressed in a thought, active in the mind of a shadow. An aged couple, confident with their shadow work are closing the movie, while the energy of what was The Hunter was looking at them from the sky. "Where your Attention goes, Your energy flows". Also, overthinking and freezing mode can consume your entire life, without giving in return any solution for any situation, issue or goal, in any perspective or spectrum."
