This video will cover a very widely used pattern of boot by the British and commonwealth forces and that would be the DMS ammo boots or direct moulded sole ammo boots. This is also the last true iteration of the family of what I consider true ammo boots. These were issued from the late 50’s and early 60’s through the falklands conflict and right up to the late 80’s where they replaced with taller versions of this boot and other models of tall boots. These boots didn’t vary much from their predecessors from booth world wars other then the fact the thick leather hobnailed soles were replaced with very hard wearing stiff rubber and a chunky lug pattern. The pairs featured in this video are a 1980 manufactured British pair and a 1990’s British manufactured pair for a Danish contract.
