Can We Grow These Potatoes Forever! | French Fingerling Potato Harvest This is our fourth year growing French fingerling potatoes from our original 1 pound of old store bought potatoes. So far, it seems like we alternate between great harvests and smaller harvests, but in this video we see if this year will be any different. These French fingerlings are a delicious potato great for boiling or roasting, and this year we grew them in our front garden space. One of the challenges we had this year with these potatoes is that we left during a part of their growing season, so they struggled a little due to a lack of rainfall. Zone 5 gardening in Wisconsin this year has seen a very dry summer growing season. That being said, this potato harvest was a lot of fun, and I was even able to have my younger gardener in training help me with the harvest, and we had a blast.
