President Herminie meets with National Unity Committee and its Technical Working Team

President Dr. Patrick Herminie has called on Leaders of the National Assembly to lend their full support to the ongoing efforts to foster a more unified Seychelles. He made this appeal at the opening of a meeting between the President and the National Unity Committee, chaired by former President Danny Faure, and attended by members of its technical team. In his opening remarks, President Herminie expressed sincere appreciation to the Chairperson of the National Unity Committee, former President Danny Faure, along with Bishop Danny Elizabeth, Ambassador Marie-Pierre Lloyd and Dr. Odile De Comarmond, for their steadfast dedication to advancing national unity and sustaining the reconciliation process. President Herminie reaffirmed his strong commitment to national reconciliation and expressed his hope that Leaders of the National Assembly will unanimously approve the Bill for the establishment of a National Unity Commission, which is intended to succeed and build upon the work of the Truth, Reconciliation and National Unity Commission.
