Looking for funding to jump-start downtown tourism or move a downtown revitalization project forward? Join us on February 4, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 AM for an informative session focused on grant opportunities that can make a real impact in your community. Annaka Woodruff, Program Manager with the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), will walk participants through how ARC grants can support downtown revitalization, economic development, and tourism-related projects. ARC funding has helped communities across the region turn ideas into action—from supporting small businesses and job creation to enhancing public spaces that attract residents and visitors alike. Learn how Rockmart leveraged ARC funds to capitalize on the Silver Comet Trail with the construction of an amphitheater and event facility, and how Hartwell used ARC support to improve stormwater infrastructure and sustain growth in its vibrant downtown arts district. During this session, you will learn: • What the ARC grant program is and how it works • Examples of downtown projects that have successfully received ARC funding • Key steps and tips for applying for an ARC grant Whether you’re in the early planning stages or ready to pursue funding, this session will help you understand how ARC grants can support your downtown’s next big step. If you are located in one of these 37 North Georgia counties, then you are eligible to apply for ARC funding: Banks, Barrow, Bartow, Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Dade, Dawson, Douglas, Elbert, Fannin, Floyd, Forsyth, Franklin, Gilmer, Gordon, Gwinnett, Habersham, Hall, Haralson, Hart, Heard, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Murray, Paulding, Pickens, Polk, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, Walker, White, and Whitfield.
