For me long exposure photography is, without any doubt, a great way to escape reality and enjoy nature. I can spend hours in the field looking at the clouds moving, listening to the sound of the sea, completely immersing myself in the landscape. I don’t want to think about my daily life problems, paying the bills, or grocery shopping. And I definitely don’t want to think about equipment. All my gear needs to be an extension of my body (no matter how weird this might sound!), help me turn my vision into an image, without being in the way. I try to avoid carrying too much gear, and always experiment with new ways of making my setup lighter and less bulky.
