DJ Solitare's Retro Goa Explorations, Episode 107 - X-Dream: Radiohead

The 107th episode in my Retro Goa Explorations series of videos in which I present some of my favourite 'Goa Trance' tracks from the '90s. In this series, I go back to my first experiences in the Goa Trance electronic dance music movement starting in late 1994, drawing upon my recollections of hearing specific music at certain events and using my classical music background explore the elements that I believe make these tracks so great. The series is now focused on music that I first encountered in the '97-98 season - that is to say, starting with music I first heard while I was still living London in September 1997 through to end of the summer of 1998, by which time I was living in Tokyo again. This track was a massive hit, but I have a much stronger preference for an alternate version of it: as opposed to the main mix of Radio featured on X-Dream's album of the same name, today's episode features their alternate mix released on a single as Radiohead. After I share the background of when I first heard both versions of this track, I will give make observations about the musical content while I play the track; then after some closing remarks, I present the track without commentary.
