Ward 4 Town Hall — Presentation Intro On January 30th, 2026, Ward 4 City Councilwoman Tiffeny Dimmery held a town hall meeting here in Lawton. Our intention was to live-stream that event. Unfortunately, the realities of technology had other plans. While we weren’t able to stream it live, we were able to capture the full video. During the discussion, Councilwoman Dimmery addresses several important issues currently facing the City. She’s also joined by former Ward 4 Councilman George Gill, who participated in a show of Ward 4 solidarity and helped answer questions about how city processes and operations work. Lawton Town Crier thanks Councilwoman Dimmery for the invitation, and we look forward to future town halls in Ward 4 and across Texoma. ⸻ Chapters: 0:00 Intro: Ward 4 Town Hall (recorded presentation) 1:07 Ward 4 board & committee vacancies + appointments (CIP, Parks & Rec, Redistricting, etc.) 2:37 What is the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and why committees matter 4:43 United Way presentation: community resource guide (Iola Noble) 7:53 Q&A: United Way support for unhoused residents, housing programs, and volunteering 10:52 Why the United Way resource guide matters + office location info 12:13 “Go Lawton” app, city meeting info, and how to contact Councilwoman Dimmery 14:21 Former Councilman George Gill remarks + street program update (107 streets) 16:06 City fiscal year timing + why “107 & 25” is still on track (King Road / airport road) 17:11 Why road projects are bundled (cost and contractor logistics) 18:06 Ward 4 survey feedback: roads as top concern + call for participation 19:43 Q&A: Street bidding process—who can bid and why big firms win 23:58 Clarification: MTZ role (sidewalks) and contractor qualifications 24:58 Q&A: Contract deadlines, penalties, enforcement, inspections, and weather days 29:04 Comparison: large projects vs road work (timelines, penalties, examples) 30:20 Low-bid not always awarded (performance/record considerations) 31:37 Closing remarks + attendance notes + wrap-up ⸻ ABOUT LAWTON TOWN CRIER Teacher by day, Town Crier by night.
