Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located approximately 30 kilometers east of downtown Shanghai, covering an area of about 37.8 square kilometers. As a major international aviation hub, it handles most of Shanghai's international flights, while Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, closer to downtown, primarily services domestic flights. In 2019, Pudong Airport reached a passenger throughput of 76.15 million, ranking eighth in the world, only behind Beijing Capital International Airport. The same year, its cargo and mail throughput reached 3.6242 million tons, ranking first in mainland China and third globally. The main areas of the airport include Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and their corresponding satellite terminals. This video mainly showcases Terminal 2.
