A three day trip to Paris in the mid-May of 2025, where we went to the top of The Arc de Triumph, the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré-Coeur among other things. We walked 11 miles on both of the second and third days. It would have been much nicer to have done this by eScooter but the roads of Paris are sadly dominated by heavy traffic, so we wouldn't have felt safe on eScooters even if hiring them had been practical. Maybe one day Paris will wake up and realise the city would be a much nicer place if it prioritised the streets for eScooters, bikes and pedestrians. Some other places we visited in the video include the famous Église Saint-Sulpice catholic church where the great Charles-Marie Widor (1844-1937) was organist for an incredible 63 years (1870-1933); Notre-Dame cathedral which has recently been rebuilt and is looking very clean following the great fire of 2019. On the final day we had the best weather and visited The Basilique du Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre high up on its hill, and went up the winding staircase to above the Dome to see the 360º panoramic of Paris which is a capital that was bigger than we had invisaged. The main music is César Franck's (1822-1890) 'Prière for Organ' Op.20 played by one of Paris's top organists Naji Hakim on the famous Cavaillé-Coll organ of The Sacré-Coeur, one of the great masterpieces of the Organ Literature. This is followed by a vintage French song: 'Charmaine' sung by Lucienne Delyle (1913-1962).
