You can have the GPS open, a strong signal, and still go nowhere if you never choose a destination. That’s the problem this message tackles. A lot of people have access to truth, attend church, and even believe in God, but they’re not actually aimed. They’re moving, busy, active, but drifting. In this first week of our 2-week series Living On Target | Christ and Home, we start with the first half of our discipleship model: Christ and Home. Using 2 Corinthians 5:9 as the anchor, we ask the question that changes everything: What are you aiming for? Paul says we “make it our aim to please Him.” Not a preference. Not a vibe. An aim. In this sermon, we lay out the bullseye of a disciple’s life: Christ. Then we talk about the rhythms that keep you connected to the Vine: Word, Prayer, and Worship (John 15:4–5). Because if Christ is truly central, the first place that should benefit is not the stage, not your public image, not your serving schedule. The first place should be your home. We end with a challenge from Psalm 127:1: unless the Lord builds the house, we’re just working hard in vain. This is about letting Jesus rebuild the tone of your home with grace, warmth, reconciliation, and peace, one faithful step at a time. Two commitments to take this week: 1. Christ Commitment: I’m cultivating Word, Prayer, and Worship this week. 2. Home Commitment: I’m taking one step of reconciliation or rebuilding in my home. Next week, we’ll finish the model by looking at how Christ and Home flow into Church and World. If this message helped you, take a second to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who feels like they’ve been drifting. And if you need prayer, drop a comment or reach out through the church.
