The World's Only Vaseline Glass Museum - Hawley Antique Exchange - 2024 VGCI Convention Trip

Welcome back to Glass in the Dark! This video is one that is near and dear to my heart. We finally got to see the legendary Vaseline Glass Museum. I have never seen so much uranium glass in my life. This happened last fall during the 2024 Vaseline Glass Collector's Inc Convention in Corning New York. I was fortunate enough to meet Erich Martin at my first convention and was dreaming of the day I could visit. Sadly, Erich is no longer here collecting, but his legacy remains as the largest collection of vaseline glass in the world. When the time came for us to visit, I was ready, with my tripod! I hope you enjoy this labor of love, it took a while to finalize, but the finished product may be the best look yet, of this truly incredible collection. Despite spending upwards of 65 hours on this video, I still find new pieces that I didn't notice before. Yes, they are a little more simple, but I think that is unbelievable. I saw things in there that could not be identified. And I went to the advanced collectors for help and they didn't know any more about them. Erich and Ida truly build something to behold. I am in love with this video, and I hope you see the glowing beauty inside of it! My personal favorite piece, which sadly, I didn't get photos of, was the Eiffel Tower candleholder. Only one other person I know of has seen them. Perhaps one day it will be me. Big thanks to VGCI for organizing the trip to the museum.
