As a winner of the 2023 Concerto Prize at the Royal Holloway University of London, Jennifer was awarded this opportunity to perform with the Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the renowned Rebecca Miller. Accompaniment by Lliam Paterson ------------------------------------------------- About Jennifer: Jennifer Morafkova is a 22 year old Czech Lyrical Soprano currently studying for her Professional Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, supported by the Dame Felicity Lott Scholarship. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Royal Holloway, where she studied under Elizabeth Byrne. During her time at Royal Holloway, Jennifer was a member of The Founder’s Choir and The Raven Opera Company. In 2022, she made her debut as Dinah in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti and performed in a variety of Gala’s and Concerts. In her final year, Jennifer won the RHUL Concerto Competition and was awarded the opportunity to perform with the Symphony Orchestra. During her studies at Trinity Laban she has performed in Opera Scenes as Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Despina (Così Fan Tutte) and Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni). She was a finalist in the English Song Duo Competition and an active participant in Masterclasses with Dame Felicity Lott, Rosa Mannion, Ailish Tynan and Susan Bullock. Jennifer is currently under the tutelage of Teresa Cahill and aims to pursue further training toward an Opera Career. This summer she will take on the role of Taumännchen in “Hänsel und Gretel” at the Berlin Opera Academy and Chorus/Contessa Cover in “Le Nozze di Figaro” in the Prague State Opera within the Prague Summer Nights Festival. About the Programme: Jennifer was very passionate about bringing the wonderful music of Czech composers to her University, which is why she proposed this program for the concerto competition. After winning, she dedicated her time to perfecting her performance so that she could create an emotional and moving performance. 1.
