Previous WR was 1:41.967 by 0x26e:    • Mini Hostile: Ragequit Holidays in 1:41.96...   S+Q upwarps are normally done by using a block to get stuck inside of like sand or trapdoors. Recently, a variant called sandless upwarp was found that allows you to clip into solid walls and upwarp without any items. It involves reloading the map once and pressing W on the right tick to clip into the wall, then reloading again to actually upwarp. The problem is that the consistency of the clip varies A LOT based on what map you're playing and where you do it. For whatever reason, clipping into the left wall at the start is 100% consistent with the right timing, but using any other wall gives me a consistency closer to 1 in 40. Earlier today, I found that for unknown reasons, using OptiFine makes this trick a lot more consistent to do, almost always getting it in less than 5 tries. I supported this, but everyone else who ran upwarp maps was against it, so I had to run this without any mods. Luckily, the clip into the wall on the left was so easy that I could consistently do it while falling, also known as an air sandless. This allows me to quickly execute the 1st upwarp while also getting sand which makes the 4th one free. For the 2nd one, I could jump around to the "easy side" of the wall and do an air sandless there. That leaves only the third upwarp which had to be done at low consistency. I got pretty lucky in this run and got it in 15 tries. This mini CTM map only has 3 objectives and is therefore much shorter than other CTM maps like those in the full Super Hostile series. This minimap speedrun features tricks such as headhitters and upwarps. This speedrun is not to be confused with vanilla categories such as RSG, SSG, and All Advancements.
