KLMBC picnic and the RC Dauntless Gaby C model boat

The Dauntless was a river cruiser from the 1940's when the Rockefeller millionaire family commuted down the river Hudson to New York. The original hull was made from aluminium and could reach speeds of 50 knots . This 1:16 scale (50" OAL) radio control model has a wooden hull which is covered in fibreglass and powered by two brushless motors and can reach speeds of 15knots. The naming of this Dauntless version is "Gaby C" after two of my grandchildren Gaby and Connie and is regularly sailed at Kingsbury Country Water Park Model Boat Club (KPMBC) Bodymoor Heath, Sutton Colefield and at Watermead Country Park's King Lear Lake, Leicester Model Boat club (KLMBC).
