DSO183 Oscilloscope kit - fake chip!

Well, I still love this scope. But I did discover that one of the chips on the board that creates the test signal outputs is fake. This does not affect the functioning of the oscilloscope itself, only the test signals. The alleged TL084 JFET quad op amp is actually a fake chip, probably a cheap LM324. A genuine TL084 costs about 50 cents in China, whereas a jelly bean LM324 goes for about 5 cents. So companies remark them and sell them as a higher grade product. Only problem is, they have much lower bandwidth, so they will not function properly in some circuits like this one. So, I'm calling out JYE Tech, an otherwise great company with great designs, to do a better job sourcing their parts. Buy the genuine parts, and not the ones that will save you 50 cents.
