Namrata Rai is continuing the tradition of the art by teaching Kathak in a systematic manner to young and promising pupils. In 2009, Namrata Rai founded Rhythm society for performing arts in Dehradun and with the launch of "Smriti festival" in 2014 she expanded the institution in New Delhi ( National Capital Region). She runs this institution with personal care and dedication with the sole aim to uphold Indian Culture Traditions and Heritage. She was Kathak faculty in India's top most boarding school, Welham Girls (2007) for four years. Also, deputed by ICCR to Suriname as Kathak teacher cum performer in 2011. She is listed as prominent artiste in Ministry of Culture, Festival of India Cell, Graded Delhi Doordarshan Artiste and empanelled artiste of ICCR, New Delhi. She regularly travels globally and give workshops in Suriname, Italy, Switzerland , Germany. She also conducts lecture demonstrations regularly for Spic Macay.
