Here are various videos taken between September 4, 2017 and March 14, 2018, featuring MTA NYC St. Louis Car Company R42 cars running on the temporary shuttle portion of the M. This unusual assignment occurred from September 2, 2017 to April 30, 2018 on the M because of construction on the Bushwick Cut, the section of track that leads the M to a junction with the J and Z. This construction created a six-car shuttle line from Metropolitan Ave to Myrtle/Wyckoff Aves that could not access cars from the East New York Yard; hence, the line utilized R42s isolated from the rest of NYC Subway system.
