August 17th, 2024, there was a point in time where I was just sat in Mat's driveway, waiting for him so we could hang out for the day. I heard this song on my local radio, and the lyrics hit me like a ton of bricks. I heard the song before, plenty of times, but never in this context. That Sunday, I hyperfocused and made the majority of the video in one day. I shit you not. The final message and the Star Wars credit sequence were an afterthought that I felt necessary if I were to upload this. December 15th, 2024, I implemented HLTH and had to reupload the entire thing. The driving force behind this AMV - the very first idea I had - was actually "know we can make it if we take it slow" up to "highway skyline". Literally the first idea I had, and I tweeted it on priv. The hardest part was probably the staccato sections before the bridge and at the end of the song. Luca in particular kept jumping around when I tried trimming his section, like the troll he is, but I wanted to do it in reverse rainbow order. Even then, I still don't feel like I did either of them quite right. The rhythm perfectionist in me can tell that it's off, but they say that the audience can't tell if a mistake was made unless the performer makes it known themself. Sooooo whoops. Little fun fact, by the way. When Chorus 1 is sung a second time, those three clips are my favorite zatsus for those particular models that aren't membership-exclusive.
