Stalls and Secondary Stalls

This clip shows more exercises that I do with stall/spin/upset recovery customers. We practice stalls from a variety of attitudes, and we deliberately induce secondary stalls during the recoveries. You'll also see secondary stalls during recoveries from yawing stalls that begin incipient spins. The objectives are to recognize and experience stalls regardless of the aircraft's attitude or airspeed, to recover from unusual attitudes without inducing secondary stalls, and to emphasize that you--the pilot--must make the airplane stall by using the elevator control to increase the angle of attack. The common element in all these stalls? The pilot is pulling back on the stick (or yoke).
