नमो बुद्धाय। गेशे रिन्पोछे पालदेन सेङगे जी के जीवन से जुड़े आपका कोई भी संस्मरण हो तो हमारे साथ साझा करने की कृपा करें। A Brief Biography of His Eminence the Geshe Rinpoche Palden Senge: His Eminence the Geshe Rinpoche Palden Senge was born in 1909 in Khadura village in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. His father was a great Buddhist ascetic practitioner that provided him a conducive environment to learn rudimentary Buddhist studies at home from very early age. From the childhood, he was witty and compassionate and was curious about everything under the sun, especially in Tantric Buddhism and its practices. In the course of time, he developed a sense that to acquire an authentic Buddhist knowledge he should go to Tibet. Thus, he went to Tibet and learned Buddhist philosophy from prominent masters, scholars, high Lamas, such as Yongzin Rinpoches, Gyalrong Khenzur, Shargo Khenzur Gen Nyima and many more. On the day of earning his Geshe Degree, a representative of Indian Government in Lhasa has presented him a commendation letter, saying that the Indian Government is pleased to acknowledge that an Indian Buddhist monk has earned the highest degree of Buddhism and offered him 300 rupees. In 1956, he came back to Kinnaur and started disseminating Buddha Dharma in Kinnaur by teachings, conducting Tibetan Language classes and prayer sessions in villages. On the constant demand of his disciples, Geshe Rinpoche built a small monastery named Choskhorling Boudh Seva Sang in 1960. Since then Rinpoche continue all his teachings and public gatherings from the Monastery. Geshe Rinpoche has envisioned that this monastery would be a epicenter to extend services in disseminating Buddha Dharma in Kinnaur, especially in lower and middle Kinnaur where Buddhism is somehow mixed up with Hindu religion. The noble work had immensely attracted many people of Kinnaur towards Buddhism and thus, Kinnauri people started sending their children to the Monastery. As a result of it, now there are more than 270 monks disciples of Rinpoche from Kinnaur. Among them many monks have already earned Geshe, Ngagrampa, Ph.D., Acharya and Shastri degrees and are extending their services in disseminating Buddha Dharma in various social junctures.
