For over two decades, the standard bearer in NASCAR simulation games has been NASCAR Racing 2003 season. Granted, there hasn't been a great NASCAR game in exactly 20 years since NASCAR 06: Total Team Control so NASCAR fans are hopeful that this year's NASCAR '25 brings quality gaming back to stock car racing. In the meantime, iRacing's last effort in non-subscription NASCAR gaming came as Papyrus in 2003 with NR2003. Of course, such a popular game hasn't been left stagnant by the fans who have been updating and upgrading it for the last 22 years.
