CTV Commercials [November 25, 1990]

Insert terrible quality disclaimer here. Aired during "Scrooge: A Christmas Carol". This is actually the 1951 Alastair Sim film adaptation, which was titled "Scrooge" when originally released in the UK but titled "A Christmas Carol" over here in North America (the film is colourized on this airing). This airing includes host segments from the late Patrick Macnee (who played Young Jacob Marley in this film), and is sponsored by Canadian Tire, so there's going to be a lot of Canadian Tire ads (particularly the "Give Like Santa, Save like Scrooge" ads). I'm not quite sure which CTV affiliate this is, but it's definitely one of the Ontario affiliates, since my friend's parents and older brother were living in Ontario that year. So, this video is an interesting one. I first recorded just the commercial breaks for it 8 1/2 years ago. Later on, I popped the tape back in to record the intro, some of the host segments, and the outro and end credits, so the quality will vary since it's a mishmash of two completely different digitized captures that are 5 years apart from each other.
