Why would I work on my own house when Gary needs a castle? Okay, it's not that simple... Firstly, this was supposed to be a sponsored video but it isn't now and I explain why over on Patreon. Secondly, I might not be able to start reconstruction on the PoopHouse until October. So, there's that. Anyways... The thing that got lost from the sponsored cut to this cut is that the castle I chose is called Doune Castle and it is located in Scotland. It also just happens to have a brief appearance in the first episode of Game of Thrones. SO, did I get all dressed up for mere seconds of screen-time in an unexplained cameo in a video about building a castle for squirrels? Absolutely, I did. All the materials I used were scavenged from the scrap pile. It's nice to put some sort of purpose to the excess but, as many of you already know, working with scrap has it's own challenges. Especially if that scrap is left out in the sun and sand and rain for days and weeks and years. Also, you know that saying about never working with children or animals? Well, lemme just say this: untrained, wild squirrels do not make the best supporting actors as the last couple minutes of this video will awkwardly prove. But, it's Gary and I love him.
