How to surface model in solidworks

This video shows how to surface model in solidworks. This is a more advanced modelling concept that can be used to create more complex / interesting geometry on parts. Firstly, we add some sketches to create the profiles for using the surface loft tool. Secondly, we introduce the selection manager and talk about how good it is to use for surface modelling. Thirdly, we talk about sketch relations such as the pierce relation and the tangent relation and how they play an important part in creating nice model geometry. We use the extruded surface feature to create some construction geometry to use the filled surface. We use the mirror body feature to mirror our surface bodies as it is applicable with symmetrical parts. We use the split line curve feature to split the surfaces and act as colour breaks on the model to look nice. Finally, we create a solid body using the knit surface feature, add a fillet to the bottom edge and shell the part to a 1.5mm uniform wall thickness.
