Volcanic Debris Flows Along Riverbed Amid St Vincent Eruptions

Local St Vincent resident Kirk Morris captured drone footage that shows ash-covered rooftops as well as volcanic material flowing along a riverbed on the island on Monday, April 12, amid eruption activity of the Soufriere volcano, officials said. After the drone glides over the ash-covered residential area, the video shows the Rabacca Dry River in Georgetown churning with a mixture of debris, pyroclastic material, mud, and water – or “lahar” as it’s known. Morris told Storyful locals typically mine the dry river for building materials.
