How to go to Simala Shrine from Cebu proper

Note: please wear modest attire. Sleeveless and shorts are not allowed. To get to the Simala Shrine, you can take a taxi or Grab going to the South Cebu Terminal. Upon arrival, enter the terminal and join the line to purchase your ticket to Simala via Argao, which costs 131 pesos for an air-conditioned bus. Please remind the conductor that you will be stopping at Simala. Once you reach the drop-off point, you can take a motorcycle (50 pesos each) or a tricycle. The driver will drop you off at a designated area due to the large number of people visiting the shrine. From there, you will need to walk about 50 meters to reach the entrance. From stairs, you can see the long line of devotees to visit, pray and kiss Mama Mary. If you would like to visit only the church, there is no need to stand in line. There are also souvenir shops at the exit where you can buy candles in different colors to light later on. Please note that the entrance and exit are separate.
