Maidstone, Kent. L/S of Roy Fransen, who is a high dive specialist, in his swimming trunks walking across the grass, his wife walks towards him. M/S of his wife putting a silver coloured swimming cap on his head. C/U of her face, M/S of them both, he walks away. There is a steel ladder in the middle of the grass, as he walks over he checks one of the ropes holding it is secure and carries on to climb it. C/U of Roy climbing up the 75' ladder past the camera, there is a shot from below of him climbing up giving the impression of height. M/S of a multicoloured tank on the ground, this contains only 4' 6" of water, the camera pans across to the ladder and follows it up. L/S of Roy standing at the top. L/S of the pool from the point of view of the top of the ladder, his wife is stood behind it. A shot taken from a low angle of Roy stood with his arms out getting ready to dive. He starts to jump, there is a shot of him diving from the point of view of the diving platform and then from the ground, the water splashes out of the tank over the camera lens. L/S of him climbing the ladder again, C/U of his wife's face watching him anxiously. L/S in slow motion of him diving off the platform, the camera follows him down as he hits the water.
