CE Marking of fabricated constructional steelwork is a legal requirement – are you at risk?

On the 9th April 2024, Dr David Moore of the BCSA hosted a webinar on CE UKCA Marking. There has been some confusion in recent months over CE Marking and UKCA Marking for construction products, in particular, when UKCA Marking will replace CE Marking. This presentation will explain the legislation covering the use of CE and UKCA Marking, the differences between the two approaches and the penalties for not complying with the law. Although CE/UKCA Marking mainly affects the manufacturers of construction products, designers and main contractors need to be aware of the legislation because it has implications for the specification and selection of construction products. Although CE/UKCA Marking affects most construction products this presentation will focus on the constructional steelwork industry.
