IN STEREO! On May 20, 1965, the Pennsylvania Military College Band traveled to the US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks in Carlisle, PA. Major General Eugene Salet, Commandant of the US Army War College had invited the Band to play at a formal Retreat Ceremony, along with the Carlisle Barracks Garrison's Honor Guard, an element of the Second United States Army. The invitation was a huge honor for PMC and the Band. Just 12 days earlier, the Band had participated in the National ROTC Band Association's challenging competition at the ’64 - ’65 New York World’s Fair. The Band placed Second, overall, but took home the First Place trophy as the top ROTC Marching Band for 1965.. The original movie footage and audio recording for this video was coordinated by Dave Rittman PMC ’65 and a staff of PMC Band member cadets. Andy Fraser PMC ’67 produced this video in 2016. Pennsylvania Military College (PMC) became Widener College (later University) in 1972. For more info, please contact the PMC Museum at Widener University. A DVD titled "PMC - Pass in Review" is available featuring movies and music from PMC's past. Call 610-499-1189. MUSIC DISCLAIMER: No copyright is claimed, or implied.
