I visited Ciqikou, an old town in Chongqing that’s been around for over 1,700 years. It started during the Han dynasty and later became a busy trading hub during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was known especially for trading porcelain, salt, and tea. Today, it’s full of narrow streets, old buildings, local snacks, and shops that still keep some of that history alive.
