Is your Mazda infotainment screen tapping itself—opening apps, zooming maps, changing stations, or rebooting on its own? In this video I break down what owners call “ghost touch” on Mazda Connect, what actually fixes it, and how dealers are handling it right now. This issue ties to NHTSA Manufacturer Communication 11021502, titled CSP13d Dealer Ltr. It’s part of CSP13: Mazda Connect Infotainment System Limited Warranty Extension. It is not a recall and it is not a TSB (there’s no TSB number for this item); it’s a customer service program/warranty extension created after a class-action settlement. What dealers can do: diagnose infotainment concerns at no charge, update Mazda Connect software, and—if the update doesn’t solve it—replace the CMU (Connectivity Master Unit) when the advisor recommends it under CSP13. Coverage depends on VINs that show “CSP13” in Mazda’s system and generally includes select Mazda3 (2014–2018), Mazda6 (2016–2021), CX-3 (2016–2021), CX-5 (2016–2020, some 2022), CX-9 (2016–2020), MX-5 (2016–2023), and Mazda2 (2016–2022 PR). Ask your dealer to check your VIN. Heads-up: the display screen itself (ghost-touch/cracked), rear camera (except a separate recall group), and SD card/reader aren’t covered by the CSP13 limited warranty—though diagnosis should still be free. Some prior owner-paid repairs before May 2, 2025 may be reimbursable under the settlement. Start with the software update; if random touches persist, ask about CMU replacement under CSP13. #Mazda #CX5 #MazdaConnect #GhostTouch #CarRepair
