Ronnie Parker was born in 1998, just early enough to catch the tail end of burned CDs, desktop speakers, and older siblings’ iPods loaded with pop-punk and emo records. While the scene she fell in love with was already fading, the music stuck. She grew up on Warped Tour DVDs, YouTube uploads filmed from the crowd, and playlists built from bands that sounded reckless, emotional, and honest. The songs felt bigger than the places they came from — and more real than anything on the radio by the time she was old enough to care. Ronnie started writing lyrics as a teenager, drawn more to voices than instruments. She learned how to sing by singing along — badly at first — to records she shouldn’t have been yelling in her parents’ house. Her voice found its shape somewhere between melody and urgency, never polished, never meant to be. prettydamn formed later, not as a nostalgia project, but as a response. A way to make the kind of music that felt missing — fast, emotional, imperfect, and human. The name stuck because it felt like a reaction more than a brand. This YouTube channel exists as both a record and a workspace. Demos, live takes, rewrites, old songs resurrected, and new ones still figuring themselves out. Some of it rough. Some of it loud. All of it honest. Ronnie isn’t trying to recreate 2006. She’s chasing the feeling that made that era matter in the first place. Ronnie Parker Vocals — prettydamn
