In this video, we take a look at the 2022 GenCon Tak Tournament FINALS match! The winner of this match wins the whole thing and first choice of the available prizes. 0:00 Introduction 1:12 Game 1 3:41 Game 2 This is the 2022 GenCon Tak Tournament, which is played on a 6x6 board with a 10-minute time limit for each player. These are 2-game matches, so the players get a chance to play as each color when facing each opponent. The tournament consisted of two qualifying groups and then a final double-elimination bracket. The first-place winner of this tournament gets their pick of three prizes: a set of carved soapstone capstones, a set of themed resin capstones, and a very nice custom wooden Tak board - with second place picking from what first place didn't choose. If you're interested in Tak and want to learn more, check out the official rules at https://ustak.org/play-beautiful-game or the 2-minute How To Play Video at • How To Play: Tak These games are played at GenCon in Indianapolis, but you can play online any time at https://www.playtak.com/ Or come where all the action is, the Tak Discord server - / discord The Discord is where most active players are, where community events are planned and discussed, where updates to Playtak are discussed, and the best place to find games with other people. You can even play with other people asynchronously (correspondence games) right through the Discord server! Come check out the subreddit at / I also have an Instagram! Where a picture of a new puzzle is posted each weekday on a physical board. Go check out @Simmon_Tak on Instagram! I also have a Twitch channel! I'll try to be streaming while recording when possible, just not for my own games this tournament. / simmon_tak Check out Tak at BoardgameGeek: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/1... Music at the end of the video and that is on the "Stream Starting Soon" screen on Twitch is provided by SystemGlitch. Check him out / systemglitch I've also said it before, but I always plan to keep all the videos on this channel ad-free so there are as few barriers to entry for new Tak players as possible. You shouldn't have to sit through ads to see great Tak content, so I'll do that. I do, however, have a Patreon. If you like the content and want to encourage me to keep making it with money, that's the place to do it. I feel weird talking about it, but there are some perks to joining and you can find those out here: / simmon_tak
