World renowned cellist, Jan Vogler makes a guest appearance at the Komische Oper in Berlin! Under Mexican conductor Alondra de la Parra, Vogler plays the Cello Concerto No. 1 of Camille Saint-Saëns with the Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin. Between rehearsals the solo cellist takes a stroll through the German capital with Alondra de la Parra. Volger leads his conductor through his home town to the Wasserturmplatz in Prenzlauer Berg, the district where he grew up. As the child of two musicians, he was connected to classical music from an early age. Now, Volger has gone back to his roots, returning to his home town of Berlin as a star of the cello, to play on the very same stage his father did at the Komische Oper.
