I’ve been defending this kid since 2015. Seriously, I have a distinct memory of talking about Undertale with my friends on the school bus back then, and being absolutely insistent that they weren’t evil. Just a disclaimer, if you’re a diehard Chara analyst, you probably won’t learn anything new from this video. I think it’s still enjoyable, plus you get to hear my personal interpretations, but the intended audience is more casual Undertale fans! Or at least, fans who don’t obsess over a character with only 69 lines of dialogue. Unlike me. (I wish I could say I made up that number, but no, that is the exact amount of lines they directly say.) I’ve never made a video essay before, and it probably shows! I recorded and edited everything in one week, but the script took about two weeks to write before then. Uh. Can I rant about how I think Chara’s colour palette is absolutely atrocious. Why is their shirt neon green? Why is the stripe the same colour as their skin?? Why are their cheeks almost magenta pink???? I hate it. Yes they look unsettling it’s fine and cool but WHY. okay thank you for watching :]
